Career Coach
Choosing a career at the end of secondary school is still as hard as it ever was.
The only difference now is that it is far more critical to get it right!
The Career Coach is an assessment tool designed to provide students, non-students and executives with objective information to encourage personal growth and explore career options.
The Career Coach™ is designed to facilitate the achievement of the best possible fit between the individual and their chosen career path. By obtaining and analysing objective information on their inherent abilities, traits and interests, the Career Coach provides suggestions for career options in which the individual should excel and, more importantly, also enjoy.
The Career Coach is a psychometric instrument whose roots extend over the last twenty-five years. Over 200,000 people have participated in its development. These sample groups represent a diverse cross section of ages, ethnic groups, income levels, educational levels, job titles, companies and industries. The Career Coach is validated for individuals 16 years and older, is normed to the Australian population and is the product of collaboration between several test development psychologists and specialists coordinated by Profiles International. The Career Coach is internet based and takes an average of 60 minutes to complete.
The Career Coach measures several areas (Behavioural Traits, Occupational Interests and Thinking Style) to evaluate how an individual fits into a particular career path. All three areas may be important for some career paths, though generally only one or two may stand out for a given career match situation. By assessing each of the three areas, we enhance the opportunity to identify the factors that will lead to the best career path fit.
